With an annual aluminium and zinc sacrificial anode production capacity in excess of 6,000MT (metric tons), MPE’s purpose-built production facility in Kuantan, Malaysia is one of the region’s largest and most respected anode foundries, situated on a 6,500m2 site, with a built-up area of 2,400m2. MPE’s state-of-the-art furnaces, in combination with our unique production process, are capable of casting up to 20MT of anodes per day. Through its association with PPSC, MPE has access to many hectares of storage area for finished goods, as well as a dedicated dock facility at Kuantan Port, with a 30MT overhead crane.
Additional production facilities in Port Harcourt, Nigeria and Batam, Indonesia provide an additional 3,000MT of annual production capacity.
MPE is also able to mobilize our proprietary, fully containerized MOFU™ (Mobile Foundry Unit) anywhere in the world when on-site anode production is warranted. Daily production for a MOFU is 6 MT.
In addition to its own proprietary MPE® anodes, MPE also manufactures Deep 7™ anodes. Deep 7 is an alloy designed in cooperation with Deepwater Corrosion Services, Inc. (Houston, Texas) specifically for the cold waters found in deep water applications.
MPE’s Quality Management System is accredited to ISO 9001 by Lloyd’s Register.
